New work available: “Windows on the World”
Three “Windows on the World”, each approx 50mm x 50mm.
I painted these during a spell of hot weather when I was yearning for the sea and remembering holidays in the Hebridean islands, Scotland. The layers of watercolour dried very quickly which meant that the pigment didn’t move as much. It was a treat to be able to work wet-in-wet and see a finished painting develop more quickly.
These miniature paintings open up my world and restore balance, and are great to gaze into for a break from the small details of everyday life.
They are available to buy in my shop now.
“Windows on the World” on display on my mantelpiece.
