“Flying Dutchman.”

painting of the Flying Dutchman sailing ship moored in Oban Bay, Scotland.

Inscribe pastels on Daler Rowney 160gsm, fine grain cartridge paper, approx 100mm x 80mm.

The Flying Dutchman is a frequent visitor to the north pier in Oban, Scotland. She’s a beautiful, tall ship operated by VentureSail offering sailing holidays around the west coast of Scotland.

There’s something beguiling about a sailing ship moored in the harbour, especially in Oban when the sunset casts a warm glow, the weather is calm and all is peaceful.
