A personal look behind the scenes, written mostly by Laura.

Experiments in Digital Art.
A few weeks ago I read about an artist who usually painted in oils and had moved to painting digitally. Why? Is this something I could do, too?

“Edge of the Loch.”
Recently I joined a Facebook group called “Landscape Photographs for Artists” and this painting was inspired by a photograph taken and posted in the group by Morven McDougal.

“Oban Sunset No. 5”
The sunsets in Oban, Scotland are spectacular.
In this piece the dark silhouette of the Isle of Kerrera is surrounded by the vibrant, warm colours of the sinking sun.

“Flying Dutchman.”
The Flying Dutchman is a frequent visitor to the north pier in Oban, Scotland.

“Callanish Standing Stones”.
Mysterious, magical and dramatic standing stones on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland.

“Oban Sunset 2.”
The dramatic sky and sea take centre stage at sunset across Oban Bay in Scotland and the silhouettes of the islands of Mull and Kerrera become the supporting act.
