The Challenges of Making Digital Art.
It’s been week two of my adventures in making art digitally and the tech side of it is a challenge.
Here are four finished pieces. I’ve also been discovering that each painting has its own story so I’ve included it after the title.

Experiments in Digital Art.
A few weeks ago I read about an artist who usually painted in oils and had moved to painting digitally. Why? Is this something I could do, too?

A Working Holiday in Scotland.
I've been on a working holiday in Oban, Scotland to gather inspiration and experiences for new art work.

Exhibition Preview.
The preview to the “Land Water Sky” exhibition at the Open Gallery, Halifax, West Yorks, UK was held last evening.

Comfort art.
I thought I’d share with you what I create for comfort and pleasure. I make digital images on my phone. Here’s an example of the process.

“Edge of the Loch.”
Recently I joined a Facebook group called “Landscape Photographs for Artists” and this painting was inspired by a photograph taken and posted in the group by Morven McDougal.

“Oban Sunset No. 5”
The sunsets in Oban, Scotland are spectacular.
In this piece the dark silhouette of the Isle of Kerrera is surrounded by the vibrant, warm colours of the sinking sun.

New work available: “McCaig’s Tower” Nos. 1-3.
McCaig’s Tower is an iconic landmark in Oban, Scotland.
This design is inspired by a bird’s eye view of the paths, trees and shrubs inside the tower. The patterns within the circles are taken from the rock art and carvings in Kilmartin.

“Flying Dutchman.”
The Flying Dutchman is a frequent visitor to the north pier in Oban, Scotland.
